Multiple Action Required

Gun Owners of Nevada, with your help, has been successful at stopping or amending some bad gun bills in Carson City, but we have much work ahead. Too many good gun bills are languishing in the Assembly Judiciary Committee. Your help is needed.

The Castle Doctrine (AB-288):

Law abiding gun owners should not be held liable for defending what is rightfully theirs. Many of you have contacted the state legislature in regards to AB-288, The Castle Doctrine, but much more is needed and our voices need to be heard. We need every gun owner in Nevada to contact the Judiciary Committee and tell them politely but strongly to pass AB-288.

This is an important bill and it must come out of committee, but it is being held up in the Judiciary Committee by Chairman Bernie Anderson. Contact the Assembly Judiciary Committee by following this link. Please consider both calling and emailing and then pass on this link to others who are concerned about the right to self defense and protecting their homes.

Tell them to pass AB288. A letter at the bottom of this message can be used when contacting your Carson City Representatives.

Next, many of you have not yet signed our petition to Harry Reid. I know many of you have sent a post card or letter to Harry Reid, and if you’ve done that then this portion of our Alert is not directed at you. We need to keep our voices constantly heard in both Washington DC and Carson City. If you have not signed our petition (or sent a card or letter) then please follow this link so your voice can be heard in Washington DC.

Lastly, if we had a nickel for every person who has visited with us at the gun shows we wouldn’t need to ask you for money. Please consider a contribution to GONV. Our fliers and leafleting of gun shows, stores and ranges allow our message of gun freedom to ring in the halls of Washington DC. And Your generosity allows us to continue to fund the Carson City battle and those that we have going locally in other Nevada municipalities.

Representative (insert representative's name here)

Please work to insure that AB-288 passes and becomes law without weakening it with amendments. No citizen should be fearful of a civil lawsuit for defending himself or his property.

I urge you to do everything in your power to swiftly pass AB-288.
