This is the end of the first week of the Nevada State Legislature.

Among other things, GONV is working to eliminate the pre-emption
law in Clark County. This law allows Clark County to require
handgun registration for every Clark County citizen.
The pre-emption law also allows North Las Vegas, Henderson,
Boulder City and Las Vegas to have completely different
laws concerning firearms.

How well would that go over if it was true for say “seat-belts?”

Also, while Southern Nevada residents are required to register every hand gun
within 72 hours, legislators last session decided that
non residents are more trustworthy and have allowed them
months before they must register.

Yes, 60 days for NON RESIDENTS!

Our legislators need to know that we are just as trustworthy
as visitors from outside of Nevada.

help compose your correspondence.

We must be in contact with our elected representatives.

Our silence is a license for them to take even more of our rights.
Please pass this message along to other freedom loving gun owners
at your gun range or club.

It’s imperative that we stay active and get others to be active.

And here is the letter that we need to send to our
Carson City elected Representatives--

Dear Senators and/or State Assembly:

As a gun owner and voter I want to register my opposition
to increased fees of any type including purchase, ownership
or carrying of guns.

As a grassroots gun owner I also want to voice my OPPOSITION
to any bill or law that result in law-abiding adults being disarmed,
even temporarily (72 hour waiting period).

Lastly, I oppose gun registration and encourage you to help us
eliminate registration and the “Blue Card” system (pre-emption) in Clark County.

Lastly, we must send the message that any politician who votes
with the gun-grabbers should look for another job.

If everyone made a $5 contribution we’d be well on our way
to funding this year's lobbying efforts.

I can tell you every dollar contributed to this fight will be
used to defeat gun control and to restore our gun rights here
in the state of Nevada.

So please, consider a contribution --whatever you can afford.
Your generosity allows GONV to expand and preserve your gun rights.
